Yep, the SE 180 is a very sticky tire...I managed to get 4000 out of mine but it was a slick before I replaced it w/ a Metzeler ME 880 170.

Anyone know what the stock wheel width is on a 96 FXDS-Conv? Is it 3" or 3.5"? I sure want a stickier tire than the Dunlop 401 or 402. Just not happy with them. And would like a wider tire than the 130. Sounds like the Avon or the Metz is the choice just not sure how wide I can go on the stock wheels with those 2.

I've always had good luck with Dunlop K591s. Good grip even wet and I usually get 9-10k out of them.
