What did you do to your Dyna today? ** Part 2 **

Def, get one for the coldest parts of winter at least. Helps preserve those tires from sitting on cold concrete for weeks at a time in the same position.

I built an 02 softail to 95" with Branch heads, back many years ago that I am sure would give my 128" a run for the money. Think it was branch anyway "memory". I do remember it had what looked like a small tongue sticking out of each head where the intake manifold bolts up. He purchased all the stuff and it was the 1st twin cam I had torn into.
It did beat an 1800 Honda that was tweaked a bit as that was his goal to shut his buddy up.

Bought a lift today! (Nothing special. Harbor Freight) All the 10s of thousands of dollars I've spent on motorcycles and parts over the years and always working on the ground or with an atv jack. Never again. Got my Brocks swingarm project I'm gonna knock out on the Dyna. Included in that will be new bitubo rear shocks and bareknuckle rotor.
Nice. Here's a pic of how I altered mine. I cut out the crossbar in between the two platform bars. I replaced the bolts from the two platform bars with longer grade 8 bolts. The platforms bars are now farther apart which allow them to clear the oil pan guard on the bottom of the frame. The bike is also much more stable when up on the jack. It's so stable that I can actually climb up and sit on the bike while it's jacked up. (I saw someone do that in a video ad for one of the really expensive jacks, so I had to try it myself) The grade 8 bolts are holding up nicely, not bending or flexing.

I feel that. My garage always seems cramped. One wall is an upright freezer, a second refrigerator, gun safe and workbench. The other side is shelving. My driveway is also so steep I have to turn the bikes around in the garage. It's gonna be dicey for sure.

Oh man... alright but it's embarrassing at this point. I just got it yesterday and still have to figure out what I'm doing with the crate. Then last night I brought home a bunch of 1x12 for a buddy who makes sweet custom helmet holders so excuse the mess. I'm gonna take this opportunity to shout out my friend who makes the helmet holders also. Whiskydicksmotoco on Instagram. Veteran business, one man show, awesome human!

This is my setup. It's a QuickJack so there are 2 lifts that are side by side with a diamond plate platform for the bike. It's easier to store since I can hang the 2 lifts on the wall, and I can use it to lift cars but it's a PITA to setup and tear down. I am seriously thinking of investing in a really nice Black Widow or similar but that'd change everything in the shop since I wouldn't be able to "put it away" when it's not in use.
