What did you do to your Dyna today? ** Part 2 **
#631
Although I love the Woods cams, I'm not too particular about the Knight Prowler lifters.. I had a set of them and they ended up getting noisy within a few thousand miles.. Not real loud but loud enough where it was annoying and for what they cost I don't care how much spring pressure or lift you got They should be able to withstand it but they didn't.. I ended up taking them back out and put the S&S precision back in and still use them to this day with the Woods 888 cams.. I even used them with the T-Man 660 cam without issue..
I hope you have better luck with them than I did and yes I set them to 0.140"....

Swapped the Arlen Ness big sucker filter for a Zippers max flow filter. Have a max flow kit on the Dyna and it’s a good bit taller than the ness.
Fixed my LRS filter envy. Probably not much else and I’m not expecting a power bump, it does make my OCD smile when ogling in the garage.
The ness and the zippers M8 kit have the same air filter mounting in the backplate. Needed the M8 filter and two of the zippers kit studs, had to trim down the studs and cut a 1/4-20 for the install.
Apologies, this post was for the 18 softail forum.

I had my bike on the dyno about a month ago and over in this thread You'll see where I posted the sheet showing the difference in power..
I picked up 3.5 pound feet of torque and almost 5 horsepower..

Just a little food for thought in the debate about Lifters with needle bearing versus Lifters with bushings.... it's not a new debate...
