What did you do to your Dyna today? ** Part 2 **

If not, don't despair, you can just connect them in parallel with the starter solenoid, so that they are open as long as the starter button is pressed.
I run OEM Harley ACR:s on my 2002 carbed Dyna (definitely is not pre wired) connected like that and it works fine.

Harley-Davidson's Automatic Compression Release (ACR) valves were first available for Twin Cam-equipped models in 2007 and later models ... ACR valves reduce cylinder compression to make it easier to start the engine, which can reduce wear on the starter and battery. After starting the engine, the valves close to restore full compression.
I'd guess that that harness might be for oxygen sensors?

The connectors I found under the tank do look like the 02 plugs. They don’t look anything like the harness pic (thanks SM). The connectors are more square like 02’s. Hindsight, I should have checked the wiring to the plugs but I was knee deep in bar swap process and missed it.
I’ll dig into the wiring when I remove the tank for the engine mods.
Thinking on engine mods and I’m leaning 107 with my stock bores and sending out a set of stock heads to WFO Larry, Zippers or one of the head shops. I’ve been down the road with later model SE heads on a sporty and the machining was terrible, not even on par with a stock set. The SE heads I had on a sporty did run strong but the .050 mill ran downstream to the flanges and exhaust fitment.
I’d like to keep the cams in the mid 240s duration wise and lift under 580, leaning Woods 777. Have a feeling durations over 250 will require some gearing changes beyond what a belt can do.
Hoping a 10.5:1 107 with decent heads and a 777 will be around 115/115. Probably need a TB too. Lots to learn and a lot of questions.
Still waiting on front brake line fittings to clean up the bars a bit more.
A bit surprised the 13.5 inch shocks didn’t upset the front end, the bike is smooth at 80, nary a wiggle. Still in the honeymoon phase with the Dyna as my OCD takes over but damn I dig this bike.

New seat here too, CC Rider seat. Have one on my softail and really like it.
Brake line was a bit of a fight, I missed the 12mm banjo on the master. Had all sorts of 10mm fittings to work with and got excited to assemble the Goodrich fittings on my 40” line and used the 10mm banjo’s. Then I took a harder look at the existing line, funk me. Got a spare sporty line now and ordered the 12mm banjo and 3an line. Hoping to have fittings and line next week, tick-ticking before the holiday ride.

AKI who designed the seat and owns Hog Killers is Japanese and a major part of their chopper culture so that’s exactly the influence. Big reason why I liked the seat so much too. Met him when he worked as West Coast Choppers back in 2010 and he was super cool and humble.

It's unfortunate Easyriders have disappeared, I bought some parts from them, always top notch quality and they always came wrapped in Japanese newspapers that were a bit fun.
There are a few other Japanese suppliers like Neofactory, Tramp cycles and Hidemo, but I have not bought anything from them.
