Got bit by the loose battery terminal today.

Riding into work, couple miles from home it stumbled slightly on acceleration, then a short time later did it again. I pulled over, seemed to idle fine, no unusual noises or anything. Ran fine the rest of the trip until I took the right hand turn onto the street that heads to my shop. It stumbled real bad, and wouldn't accelerate at all until it eventually died. Fortunately I was close enough and it was downhill enough that I bumped it into neutral and coasted into the parking lot. I tried restarting it and it sputtered then just clicked like the starter had low voltage, then the gauges shut off.

First thing I did was pull the battery cover and sure enough the negative bolt was backed halfway out. I installed this battery myself a few months back. Guess I'm adding 'check battery bolts' to my checklist.

I use external star washers between the battery terminal and the cable end and then a little blue loctite on the screw and never had an issue.. I use external star washers on every ground and positive cable connection...

Got jammed up on some hardware from a couple vendors so that sucks. Over a month now waiting. Meanwhile, at least Amazon comes through. Alloy Art shift linkage and a chrome carb top since the stock one was cruddy looking

Painted the logos on the tires with a yellow marker pen for a bit of racing vibe, and went for a ride in the Swedish summer

@shiftace (or anyone else) can you tell me what size bolts are used to mount the bagger brembo to the forks?
Are they the same M10x1.5-30 like the rear brembo uses??

C&C Fastback seat arrived today. Fits like a glove. Rain for the next 2 days so a ride will have to wait. Definitely feel more in the bike and further back. Now I can address the bars and possibly 2" extensions on the forwards
