What did you do to your Dyna today? ** Part 2 **

Rear Touring Brembo/ MTE78
MTE78.
Very nice set-up Man. That looks to me one of those new Ram Jet Racing rear brackets to fit a touring Brembo rear caliper on Dyna's. If that is in fact so, is it worth the $$ to convert? I'm currently facing a worn out stock rear caliper (which we all know wasn't very good to begin with) bouncing ideas around and the Touring Brembo looks to be a decent route. Just hadn't seen anyone have one to get some feedback. If you don't mind, what's your say on going this way?

I went the RJ route because the bracket matched the swingarm better. It is absolutely flawless in fit and finish. No issues with mounting. I would have loved a matching Brembo P4 in the rear, but the brackets available are too ugly IMO.
The key is to find a new or decent looking HD caliper. Nothing worse than a pretty new bracket with an oxidized and rusted bolt caliper on it.
The braking is better than stock, but the best upgrade would be a Brembo rear master cylinder.
The front is on another level of braking compared to the OEM set up.
Hope this helps….

Finally felt confident enough with the foot to get the bike out for the first time. Bedded the new brakes and shook it down for probably a 1/2 hour and it felt great! The brake feel of the Brembo's front and back are exactly what I was hoping for, no comment on performance since I was only bedding and shaking down today, didn't even ever come to a complete stop using them to keep the pads off the rotors. The front end with the Bitubo carts is markedly better from the gold emulators and RaceTech spring, much more comfortable and confident. Of course, I have a SuperBrace on the forks now too so that might be part of the feel difference. I also have a PosiTrac front and back now so that's probably part of it also. Vibrations overall felt way down, might be the alignment helped or I just don't remember very well. As I was riding, I remembered that I hadn't checked the tires (which turned out to be very low) and that I had left a bolt out of the front fender mount. I did hear one new noise, a tiny metal "tinging" from under the front of the engine, Checked the new mount and PosiTrac and everything is tight, so I'll have to keep looking. Is it possible for engine vibration to cause the dog bone on the PosiTrac to twist and cause that sound? It is very intermittent.
