No permission, no go in my opinion. I would ask for the other one back, too.

My original dipstick didn't have an advertisement on it. I'm not going to worry about getting the old one back. It's not that big a deal. It's just the fact that they did it without my permission. I'm in the Northern Virginia area, Alexandria to be exact.

Ithink that is a sticker and it should come off without a problem.

This is a dealer sticker, all dealers have them. Pull the edge up and spray wd-40 and it will come right off, residue and all. That should be your original dipstick. The dealer I worked for had these but it was always up to the customer it they wanted them placed on the dipstick or at the top of the forks.

I have done all my own work on my WideGlide since I have owned it. When it came time for the 10,000 mile check up I just wanted another set of eyes on it so I broke down and took it to my local dealer. Cost me $295 dollars and honestly don't think they did much.

I would probably find a good indy. You may way to have you brake pads checked/replaced, your fork oil changed and your seals inspected, check any wiring harness for chaffing, your spokes tightened if you have spokes, adjust the clutch & all control levers, etc. The 10K should be a very through check-up and not just a look over and oil change.
