FXR3

RE: FXR3
If I remember correctly, the FXR3 was a custom FXR that came out soon after the newly introduced FXD, which replaced the FXR. What I heard was that there were frames for the FXR that had not been used in normal production, and since the FXD had replaced the FXR, these frames were used to make factory custom bikes.
All of the FXR models were great machines, if not the best looking of the Harleys. They were smooth, agile, and sporty to ride.
This might be urban legend, but that's what I know about them.
Regards,
Bill

RE: FXR3
I think it was made in '99. EVO engine. One of Milwaukee's first CVO (Custom Vehicle Operations) models. They used the popular and discontinued FXR chassis as the model to base it from. As noted above, the FXR was one of H-D's better handling bikes. Won't see many of them around.
