They call them a sprocket lock or pulley lock system. Yes the bolt heads aren’t supposed to come loose with this part. Bike went from tow truck to Harley I don’t have any other pictures.

No thoughts on no evidence of a locking compound? Picture of end of bolt head.

My guess is they are mild steel junk.

To me it appears the bolts may have been just a little long and bottomed out enough to seem tight.
Leaving just enough slack for pulley movement to quickly weaken the bolts and finally gave it up.

The first bolt on the left appears to be bent some. Least to my ol eyes

This has become a recurring problem with many of this model ... More to follow, I'm sure

less than 700 miles on bike after install when this happened. And I had the plate guard on where it keeps the bolts from backing out.
Issue it likely the "Plate Guard" It allowed tension on the bolts to collapse enough to let the plate rattle.. Got a pic or link to the one used?

BTW, Whenever working with the pulley recheck the bolts after a couple hundred miles..

yes I’m seeing this problem all over the internet . Exactly why I joined this forum trying to get answers and enough knowledge between everyone and Harley to fix this because having that in the back of your mind riding isn’t fun
