Looking at buying the wife a pewter pearl super glide, any of you guys have pics of your bikes would be great for her to see, harley site doesnt do it justice. Also let us know what you think of it!

Darryl, Ive had a FXD for 3 months. Love it butif you want to customize by adding Harley bolt on shinny piecesstart witha Custom'cause you will spend a small fortune just to get to that level from a base FXD. 2.) I had no idea wheels would be so costly so if you dont like the mags on the FXD plan on spending even more . Go to a dealer that has all models in stock so you and she can get a feel of each model. If I could have seen a BOB in person I bet thats what I would have bought. Read all the handlebar questions for the FXD on this forum ( there are many). I can get my FXD to where I want it but I bet I would have spent less in the long run by starting with a Bob or a Custom. Oh , and you are one lucky dude.

I love my superglide, always liked the simple basic look. Most who complain about their super have the same complaint, the speedo on the bars. As others have mentioned, if you prefer the options and design of the bob or custom then just get it becasue you will spend a pretty sum of cash to get the super to that point.

Haven't seen the pewter pearl in person but heres my 07 in Vivid Black. I love it.

I have an 06 Superglide.

Realized when looking for pics that I am taking pics while on the bike and don't have that many of the bike... specially after I did recent mods.

Whats wrong with the Speedo on the bars. It is alot easier to read it, and still see the road. When it is on the tank you have to look down. It is also prone to sun glare.
