I used to work as a motorcycle messenger and I would sue a messenger bag, however several of my buddies insisted on having a "top box" as they are called in England. A couple of the guys got coolers that would hold a 6 pack and bungeed them to the back seat. Not my style, but it suited their needs. I lke Mud's box, that is really cool.

A freinds daughter graduated high school and didn't need her backpack anymore. They gave it to me 'cause I had been bitching about how to carry anything on my chopper. Been using it for a year either on the sissy bar or on my back. I can hold a lot of groceries and also atleast a weekends worth of clothes and stuff. Has room for a 6 pack if you're in to that. Can't us a regular saddlebag because of the high rear pipe. It's cheap and works good.

Has anyone ever tried to make their own saddlebags? I'm on the mother of all low budgets, and can barely keep up with the general maintainence. I take lots of weekend trips, and need to be able to carry more.

Leather shops often carry patterns and kits if you are wanting to do it yourself.

Yard sales, Craigslist (local), e-Bay...or

www.motorcycle-superstore.com ATV tank saddlebag....$18.99

These should get you by until you can find something better! Or the backback idea would be even cheaper, I guess!

Go to a motorcycle shop and pick up a 15"x15" bungee cargo net and secure an old backpack to your rear fender stuffed with whatever you need. - Also works with plastic garbage bags, pillow cases, or whatever else you need to carry.
If you wear the backpack and strap something else to the back it's like 2 saddlebags.
Unfortunately, my backpack bumps into my backrest so I strap it instead of wear it.

Glad you like em JRK. I am satisfied with the outcome.

Yep ammo cans.

Cut em to match the shox slope.
Weld on brackets.
Hang em on the struts.
Two bolts on and off. Quick.

You want one, you can't have one.

Gotta have two.

cBoard, don't matter. Big city or not.
It's the law.
You gotta keep your bullets under lock and key.

The little Master lox are simply to avoid any
unnecessary hassles.

I could cut em off with my breath.
Keep honest people honest though.
