I put an Arlen Ness Big Sucker on mine. It can be used with the football cover, but I liked the way the open element looks on the bike better. All yo need is an insert for the front of the air cleaner. I used the Flames collection one that I had on my football.

I have the Big Sucker also, but I was wondering about riding in the rain?
I live in Southwest Louisiana and we get plenty.

The element is oil bathed and as long as your not sitting still and directing a garden hose straight at it, it's highly doubtful any water is going to penetrate. Plenty of guys ride in all kinds of weather with them. I wouldn't worry to much about it.

Should not be a problem as long as you dont get stuck in a down pour.

I use the HD part #29430-06 5-1/2" insert. Pg 560 in the 08 catalog. Anything like that is a perfect fit, I just happened to use this one on my last two bikes with the Ness Setup. About $17 or $18 from Zanotti's when I made my last order from them.

http://www.azece.com/index

You can get covers here, or just make one out of a piece of aluminum or steel if you have the tools. Mine is just made out of a piece of 1/8" aluminum, 5.5" dia with a hole in the center. As for riding in the rain, it's not a problem unless you're in a downpour. My bike stumbled a few times once when I was in a heavy rain. Of course, it was raining so hard I couldn't see more than 10 feet and should not have been on the road anyway.
