Some of these guys remind me of Ray Liotta's crew from Wild Hogs!

Learn some Respect, you may need his many many many years of knowledge one day soon.-Trotter
...Respect is earned my friend & if it's going to be given by cocky, smart-*** members who think they were born with their hands on a clutch & throttle I'll pass.

...Respect is earned my friend
.................................................. ..............................
I agree wholeheartedly Rider.

And, The respect road runs in both directions.

Someone else said I was rude and members shouldn't be
"smart *** peterheads" when someone asks a question.

Your posting that I commented on was, as I read it,
a "smart ***" bombastic comment, not a question.
(at the risk of appearing insensitive,
I actually would say dumbass comment).

Your reply back to mine
said you weren't a bookworm like myself.
Yet, in the post I had commented on, you state that
you had "read" some older posts of these covers
just coming off while casually riding.
Man that's a hint - they ain't bolted on.

I've never heard of the cover falling off, some probably have.

I do want your respect though, I need it.

So I take back my comment that
I think the snap on/off designed side cover is great.

It is "a dumb freakin'-*** design!".
They shoulda screwed it on.

I also thought it was pretty cool of HD
to provide me with an owner's manual
outlining precisely how to remove the fuse cover.

Mud,
No problem...what originally set me off was the comment above, which I thought was sarcastic & cocky & I'd never respond to another member's post in that way no matter how ridiculous I thought it was as we were all Harley "rookies" at one time or another. We're all here on this board to help other member's with problem/issues/ideas...that's what this board is for, right? My original post questionwas eventually answered & problem solved. The dead horse has been beaten to death here...thread over!

No problem here my own self Rider.

Keystrokes are just that, and we all read em from our own perspective,
based on life experiences, and/or todays good or bad mood.

So, "what originally set me off",
mycomment thatyou quoted above,
Was, simply, a statement of truth.
From my perspective.

You can take it and use it,
or, take offense.

Kibitzing now, I'll say this -

Take it all with a grain of salt.
No need for name callin. You CAN do better than that.
Sometimes things are better left unsaid.
I didn't mean to say it, but, I meant what I said.
You can't pick up a turd by the clean end.

This is the internet.
Al Gore invented it for us to either learn from,
or, view ****.
