I am getting my 2006 EFI Cobalt Blue Low Rider when I get home in a few months and I want to order the painted a/c cover for my bike to match the original paint. HD says you need to check if your a/c cover is notched or not. I have not seen mine yet so I was wondering if someone could tell me which one to order notched or not notched. I want to order it now because it takes about 6 weeks to come in and I want as much time with my bike set up how I want before I have to come back over here 6 months later. Any help is appreciated. I don't have a Low Rider to compare to but I would venture a guess that I'm 99.9% correct in saying that it will not be notched because my 2006 Super Glide Custom is not notched.

 

My 05 is not notched.

I believe the only years that had the notch were the '99 and 2000 models. My '00 WG is notched.

 

What is the purpose of the notch? And wouldn't it still fit, with or with out the notch? Maybe let a little more air in, but that could be a good thing..

 

'06 DWG here.. no notch. But even if you get a notched one, it will still work. The rubber gasket just fills in the notch.
