Default Big Radius Pipes

Just wondering how load the Big Radius pipes are, they are really cracking down on noise around here.
Thanks

They are loud even with baffles. The difference between these and the Rineharts.....V&H have a crack to the sound while the Rhineharts have a deeper rumble.

Yeah, they are loud - had 'em on my Wide Glide when I bought it and then sold 'em because I wanted to tone down the sound a bit and I didn't like the way they sounded. That's totally subjective though: just like music. I also found low-end torque to be a bit lacking in comparison to stock pipes with slip-ons, but I have nothing scientific to back that up - just my own impression. If they are cracking down on noise in your area, I personally wouldn't go with the BR's, but that's your choice. I've rolled by plenty of cops when I had mine, but I live in a big city and they could really care less about noise here. Either way, keep your stock exhaust just in case...

MovedtoSyracuse - exactly the description I would have made: they crackle. At least that's what I thought...I like a deeper sound.
