warranty issue

RE: warranty issue
Unless they can prove you've had the primary off and messed with the insides, the stator should be covered under warranty. They do sometimes just overhead and fail, I'm not sure I've heard of one coming loose.
Have you noticed any electrical problems? Just curious why they'd think the stator is loose?

when they took the primary cover off the bolts that hold the stator were laying in the bottom,,i had 2 codes come up ,,one was battery low one was battery high,,so i put new battery in ---$98----,cleared the codes ,same problem ,rattling sound in neutral, and a high pitched sound when i revved the engine, like metal on metal,,anyway that was last monday ,,still no word on my bike, just that the parts are on order,,i said if it aint covered you aint fixing it,,i can turn a wrench a lot cheaper than $65 a hour++++,,,,can i get a hell yeh....

RE: warranty issue
I just had to have my stator replaced [:@]. The battery, the voltage regulator and the rest of the electrical / charging system after being tested by the stealerwas fine. My bikes warranty is up in September.. thus it was still covered. They initially told me that it might take a week to get a new one from Milwaukee, but the local deaership "network" had one so they shipped it in and I got my ride back the next day. As long as the bike is still under warranty that is a dealer fix that shouldnt cost you 1 cent.
