Default Air Filter & Slip-ons

Old guy here trying to catch up with this darn new technology.
Let me get this straight now from reading earlier posts.
I can ad slip ons, and not remap, but if I change the air fliter, (more air), I need to remap or it will run too lean?
Am I getting this right? These are the only "engine " modifications I will be doing (this year), all the rest is cosmetic and or functional.

Seconded...that's the same scoop I got from an independent mechanic who operates a local custom shop...

I agree......So now, you have to decide which fuel mgmt system you want since you will be changing both your a/c and mufflers. Myself, I got the K&N airfilter, V&H slipon mufflers, and their fuelpak. I don't plan on making any other changes to that system. It works for me. Plenty of posts on fuel mgmt systems.

You will appreciate the difference the A/C, Slip ons, and a fuel management system will make. I've got the PCIII. The fuel management system tames the "lean, heat related" problems. Don't forget to do the "Rev-Extend" to 6200 RPM.

Have Fun & Enjoy.
