I would at least tear it down and repair it with a patch on the inside. I know plugs are great, but I'm not sure I would trust one on a Motorcycle at 100=mph. I don't ride that fast on tires that have never been damaged.

Regards,

Bill

Get her patched. Plugs are bad news and can cause an instant flat if they fail. Use a plug to get home only. Plugs are bad news for auto and truck tires as well. Ride on!!

If the tire is still new, instead of buying a new one, have dealer install a tube. I know it sounds crazy for some reason, but I had a tube installed with only 800 miles on my new rear tire. It now has 8,000 trouble free miles with no leaks. Only cost $22.00 w/$20.00 labor.

Your problem is not only the air coming out. If that nail broke one of the cords that can be serious.

The cords are the strength of the tire. For normal operation an inside plug will be ok.

For 100mph. It's your butt Dude!

Hi
I agree on the bike tire but for car and truck I've had plugs put in for years and never had one go bad. My experience has been good. Maybe I been lucky

You ALWAYS replace the tire. You dont attempt to patch or plug it. Thats redneck BS. Your on 2 wheels, is your life, and your safety worth more than a cheap $125 dollar tire?, how about the safety of anyone who may ride bitch with you? Any reputable shop or dealership will tell you the same thing. You replace it. No questions asked.
