Was gonna jump on and go enjoy this picture perfect 75 degree sunny day and this just happened to catch my eye. Rear shock bolt snapped in two. Had this bike since Oct and the repairs are adding up fast. Fun times. But I thank God he made me notice this before jumping on. I rode yesterday for a while so it must have broken then.

While I'm here, what do you think of this front motor mount. Time to replace?

 

That doesn't look like a proper shock bolt to me, and YES on changing the motor mount. If you think it needs changing, then change it for peace of mind.....

 

Looks like the wrong bolt.

 

Get the correct replacement parts and better get 'em quick, they'll probably be going up in price everyday from here on out exponentially

 

Go with what the dealer has or is there a better aftermarket bolt?

 

Go with what the dealer has, the bolt HD put in was designed for that application. Is this for the Dyna?

 

After you put in the new mount be careful not to let any motor oil get on it. Sometimes it splashes a little during a filter change.

SCREW OEM!!!! Replace both upper shock mount bolts with GRADE 8 bolts.

 

Definitely replace the motor mount, I replaced mine with a Predator mount.
