im wanting a new battery but im not sure which would be best I have the fxdx with a 131ci engine any recommendations ?

Have had very good luck with Batterymart.com big crank batteries.

My Yuasa GYZ series battery has lasted me longer than anything else. Going on 5 years and still strong, but I might change it out just in case.

FWIW, those Big Crank batteries (along with many others) are made by East Penn Manufacturing who also make the HD and their own "Deka" batteries

Besides brand, look for cranking amps, especially for big motors. The same size battery can range from 280 CCA to over 500 CCA

Go LI, or plan on replacing the battery every year. I had a high compression 116 that blew about 3 starter clutches, 3 ring gears, and blew up one starter with good AGM batteries. Also have a 131 FXR that has blown fewer parts. LI bat fixed the issue.
