Cause if your gonna go with a battery like that then you better make sure the starter cable can handle the load...

As far as AGM Batteries go, Deka is the same as the HD battery. Yuasa GYZ batteries are a little bit better due to them figuring out how to get about 10% more lead into the battery. Batteries with bloated specs are typically one of these 2 if they claim to be made in the US.

"Go LI, or plan on replacing the battery every year. I had a high compression 116 that blew about 3 starter clutches, 3 ring gears, and blew up one starter with good AGM batteries. Also have a 131 FXR that has blown fewer parts. LI bat fixed the issue."
Max,
Are you concerned with the Li batteries occasional fires?

My question would be though,
Would one need to make changes to the regulator..? Don't LI batteries charge at a different rate than an AGM or Lead Acid??

I would imagine bikes that burn up batteries have charging issue or possibly simply loose battery terminals.

The LI batteries can typically be charged at rates higher than Lead batteries. The big issue is over charging. That can set them off.

Any of the top brand names are good. The Harley ORM battery is good. I recently put a Yuasa in mine. Don’t get wrapped up in CCA specs. The starter motor is a 1.5kw motor. So, even if the voltage drops to 10 volts during starting , the most the starter will draw is 150Amps. I’m more concerned with Ah rating. That’s the capacity of the battery.
