Default PLEASE HELP (bad oxidation)

So... went to the car wash this morning and used the motor cleaner setting and shot my motor... well it has oxidized almost like an acid burn to my heads, hubs, rockers, basicly anything that is aluminum... PLEASE help me clean this off.... i am going to start on it now.... i will take pictures and post as i go along.... please help me findsomething to clean or polish this off. thanks

Is this to the Silver Powder Coat?? I had some brake fluid, dealer screw-up, get on my cases and it stained them as well. Kind of a dark stain. I've tried several cleaners, but the problem is that the powder coat stain is not removable. Sorry; if it is under warranty, the factory want cover this, it is described as a "cosmetic" problem.

That's why I use soap and water to wash andWindex to shine!

That's sucks man.... hope you get it worked out!

I am having the same problem and you cant polish the black parts with mothers. Right now i just used some stuff called scrub free with bleach that i got at walmart in the bathroom cleaning section and it helped alot but did not complety do the trick. A friend told me that harley has some stuff that will restore the black to black again. I am going there tomorrow to see if they have something. But the scrub free did help alot. its cheap and if it dont work for you, you can always use it to clean the bathroom...lol

I use S100 engine brightener on my black engine parts. Works like magic, gets rid of the gray.

More of a problem you will find washing your bike with waterbased chemicals will be the Galvanic corrosion (dissimilar metals). The fasteners are not water proof and that goo will seep into the threads.Locktite and anti-seize helps...but... This will rot the steel fasteners in the aluminum cases. Good luck

You can try aluminum polish with a Mother's Powerball or something like that for the wheels and other bare aluminum parts. The engine is powdercoated that is stained, not much you can do. HD may have something for the paint, I don't know of any specific product that would help.
