Default Fresh(er) tires

I have returned two sets of tires, all of them manufactured in 2012. Two different suppliers say they can't stipulate how old the tires will be. Is there a tire source that will let me say "Nothing older than xxxx."?

What model/brand tires are these? Who are the suppliers?

What the heck are you ordering for tires that are coming in 10 years old?

If your buying from a reputable online retailer like Dennis Kirk or RMMC those guys turn over a lot of tires. Highly unlikely you'll get a tire older than 1 year from those guys...
In fact the Dunlop American Elite's that i wanted last summer were out of stock everywhere, so If I get them now I'm pretty sure the date codes will be fairly recent.
I won't be riding anymore this season so at this point I'll wait till spring before ordering

OP: I don't have an answer for you but your post made me go out in the garage and check mine. I got new tires for both dynas this past summer. Ordered them through a local indy. Just a couple of days wait, no supply issues. Three of them were manufactured in 2020 and one was manufactured in 2021. Never thought to check that before.

Good luck getting fresher tires.

I have a 2008 FXDF Fat Bob. I ordered from Dennis Kirk and Revzilla, Michelin and Metzler. I live in the Chicago area.

what model of tires from each (ie which Michelin and which Metzler tires did you order)? I always buy from revzilla, and I’m getting ready to pull the trigger on a new set myself.
