Thanks Guys....for getting me paranoid, the key is now up my ***. A little uncomfortable but its safe.

 

I keep mine insured so if someone gets it, I get a new one. The key is kept on the table in the living room when it's not in my pocket.

 

i hid one of my keys, and forgot where i put it so im afraid to hide the other one.
no just kiding, . . . like somoene else on here said.: if a theif wants it they are not gonna snoop around for the damn key.
thats why i always keep full coverage insurance on mybaby so if the theifs do come around and get my wideglide then the insurance company can buy me a new one. lol key problem solved !

 

I leave my laying about hoping someone will steal my POS. Maybe with the insurance money, I could buy a BMW or a GUZZI. Tired of that annoying buzz.

 

Talking aboutkeys. At a gas station a couple of days ago a buddy said he forgot his key (to open the lid on his gas tank - Electra Glide Standard). He was worried to death. I took my key out of my pocket, inserted it in the lid and opened it. He was amazed it worked. I told him, what ya think, Harley made them different? lol.

Like many have said, keys won't keep a thief from stealing your bike.

Why do we have locks on our doors to our homes? To keep your friends out.

If a theif wants in, a brick through a window or plate glass door is all it takes.

i set in my pocket at all times, the spare set is in my gun safe.

 

I have the key to my bike on a caribiner snap ring and whenever I get off my bike I snap it to my belt loop. That way it's either in the ignition or on my belt loop. When I'm home, it's in the house with all of our other keys.

 

Funny my wife has that same key dangling from her "Hood". Good safe keeping or so I thought. <LOL> Dave...

 

My key stays in the ignition, in the ON position when it is at home. That way the key won't fall out and get lost..........
When I am out an about or traveling, when I stop for anything other than gas and a soda, BOTH keys go with me.
Pretty bad when you have to explain to the HD service guys, how to startyour Harley........ LOL
I believe 2 ignition switches gotta be better than just 1.
And no, my house is not locked, and my faithful killer dog died back in the 80's.
Anyone steals my Harley, good for them.............. I ride it like I stole it.
