After 20+ years of living in the mountains outside of Boulder, I've moved to Denver just in time for their new hardcore motorcycle noise law.

Must have stock, epa pipes on your bike with stock baffles. If you get caught, you have 7 days to rectify or get a $500 fine... NOT GOOD!
While many hope/expect this new law to be repealed, I need to be prepared if I get a ticket.

Does anybody have a set of stock pipes (full system) from a '99-05 Dyna that they would be willing to part with for a modest amount? I can pay for shipping through my fed-ex ground account which might make things a bit easier.

Here's a photo of the Hooker "fourbidden" 4-into-1's that I might have to give up. Do you suppose Hooker knew something when they named those pipes? :-)

Yes, I have an 05 Dyna Wide Glide (see below). I have the original stock pipes and shields in a box. Replaced them with Python pipes. The pipes are discolored. I replaced them 4 weeks after I bought the bike new.

wish i could help ya, but my stockers are still in the box that my vance and hines came in with zero miles on them, saving them just in case, a situation like yours occurs here, check ebay you can buy them for 20 bucks plus shipping

 

Are Wide Glide pipes the same as Super Glide?

 

I have no idea if the pipes are the same.

My bad. I didn't see where it said Super versus Wide.

Maybe somebody else can answer your question.

 

I have a set of '06 pipes...I don't know if they would fit and you would have to put something into the O2 sensor holes, but if you want I could let them go for...I dunno...$50.00

remember - you probably switched out the bracket as well.

 

you may need the wide glide pipes since you have forward controls....
