the striping and logo 100% are my favorite part of the bike. I love the script under the clear.

Good choice IMO ... The black inlay 13-spoke are very sharp especially when in primo shape

agreed. I spent about 30 seconds today cleaning them and they’re so nice. Can’t wait to have this thing back together.

All of the above are sitting in the garage waiting on me to install. Was going to to bagger brembos like on my last one but decided to just change to some different rotors and good pads instead. If I upgrade them later I'll do some Tokico's or something but that's next winter if I keep it that long.

Nice! I bought a super clean '98 FXDS-Conv about 5 years ago with about the same mileage as yours. Last year EVO engine, great bike. My bags are in the same condition as yours, fully functional after I had the zipper repaired but kind of ugly. Wish someone made direct replacement bags for these. Just watch the screw attatchment where the bag screws into the fender, it can loosen up at the worst time. I rarely remove my bags so I use a drop of low strength Locitie on mine. Good luck with the bike.

No doubt, I had those screws tightened and just riding it around the neighborhood by the time I got back one was loose. Going to have to come up with something to keep em secured better.

Got a few things done today, swapped a new rear tire on, some Wilwood rotors front and rear, 13.5 Drag Specialties shocks, got the front end back together, new petcock, and got the Mikuni on. My brand new taillight doesn’t work like it’s supposed to, and my rear axle adjuster plates were shipped wrong so have to take a few steps back next week. Seat is lost in the mail so that’s an issue too. Tomorrow going to try to get the pipe and air cleaner all on and done

maybe tackle the bars and wiring.
