I have a 2011 streetbob with a small dent in the tank. Harley tells me the 06 tank fuel injected will not fit my 11. Is this true. I rather not have to buy a brand new one. The dent is small but in NJ I can’t find a dent guy that I’m confident can work on a motorcycle tank. I can buy a 06 for way less money. Any help would be great.

 

According the parts fiche, the tanks for those years have the same part number. Only the colors are different.

Could be the person you spoke to at Harley (dealer?) is mistaken?

 

tbh most harley sales persons are incompetent, at least those ive spoked to.

Seriously dont know why you dont have the confident to let a dent guy fix that dent, its an easy fix dent lol.

 

Because the 3-4 shops I talked too are iffy about how to fix it. Looks like a basic fix Idk why they are like this about it.
