Default 2007 FXD Superglide

I am looking at the new superglide. Looks really good. There was a review on Motorcycle.com that discussed that there was no feel in the front tire when turning. Otherwise it cornered well and took the bumps well. Any thoughts from anyone before I buy?

Rent one for a day or two. Don't just go by some motorcycle review. Then, if YOU like it, get it.

My FXDIbeen a fine steed for two years, 23,100 miles. And a heck of a lot of fun.

I haven't and won't read that review. That is a just about useless piece of information.
I have an '07 FXD. With my eyes open, I don't need to FEEL with any tire. By the time one feels something that was not seen, it is too late to matter.

Go to your dealer and schedule a test ride.

What are you suppose to feel? As I ride along, I see the front end move up and down with the road surface. It looks like it's doing OK! My 2007 Superglide is the best handling bike I ever rode. Low speed riding (read parking lots) is excellant.

I just went from a Sportster with the upgrade shocks and all on it and I can tell you that my new 07 Super Glide handles very very nicely. There is no feeling of disconnection with the road at all and I love it.

If your front tire starts pushin out you better feel it cause there won't be anything to see but the pavement comin at ya.

That said, I get good feed back as much as is needed for a cruiser.

I have an 07 Superglide and love the ride. I tested softails, wide glides and my super before purchasing. I thought the super had the best ride and best handling of all.

My 07 FXD "feels" fine. I go through twistys no problem. The only limiting factor are my pegs scraping the road. So I guess it "feels" ok.
What are they comparing it to?

I agree with all the other supergliders here, my '07 superglide runs and handles great. The wideglide was too raked in front for my taste. I put hiway pegs on and can now stretch out sometimes ( starting to shift and brake sometimes using my heel...comments?) If ya get the custom you won't have to complain about the 'damn speedometer' like the rest of us ( it sticks up and looks dumb) other than that, yeah, test ride 'em all before you decide,,good luck!

I just bought a new 2007 FXD Dyna Super Glide and it feels and handles great, IMO.
I think expert reviewers always feel they have to complain about something, to prove they are " experts ". [sm=confused06.gif]
