Ride 'em both, then get the Dyna. I love my 05 WG, best handling, most comfy bike I've ever been on. 2, 3, 400 miles a day, no problem. And it's relatively fast too

I test rode both, a softail standard and the Street Bob. It's Dyna for me.

Here is where the rental program really shines. For me, the Dyna handles and rides better and I really don't like the counter balanced motor of the Softails.

I had to go with my heart and got the dyna wide glide. Best decision I could of made. If you want a little more sport, go with any of the other dynas

Had a sportster, a fatboy and I'm keeping the '03 Wideglide. Nothin better than that.

Dynas are for riding.
Softails are for old men, bar hoppers, and the park& polish crowd.

Luckily, I don't fall in any of those categories.

Be 70 this year and still Bob'n. Dynas rock.

I went through the same delemia.
All my friends ride soft tails (customs fat boys and night train)
I rode them all and loved them all .They just felt alittle top heavy to me.
The dyna it felt like I was sitting in the bike not
on it,that is the best way I can explain it.
good luck with your decision.
That's a good way to put it.

The weight tranferrence feels a little different on a softail (or at least a Springer vs a WideGlide). When on his and accelerating It felt as if the bike and I were going forward together moving me towards the front end making it feel top heavy.
On my Dyna, the torque plants me in the seat and gives me a good center of gravity.
And the difference when hitting bumps was night and day. Could be because of the Springer front end though. Wasn't nearly as much give as my DWG.
Springers will also handle different and feel different because their caster is different, the axle sits in front of center from the forks. It is inline with the head on the frame though.
