Tank Emblems
Tank Emblems Gone.

It took me 15 min to removed the right side tank emblem and clean it up.
The left side for some reason took 3 hrs? There’s still a very faint area
where you can tell something was there. I need to rub it out someday.
The vivid black works well for me on a blank tank.

Turtle Wax Bug and Tar Remove helped a lot.
A few more times and it may be gone altogether?
If not I may have it rubbed out by a pro.
I used WD40 on my front reflectors and Goo Gone on the rear.

Not much difference IMO between either one.
I didn’t have a hair dryer, however the air temp was 90.
The Ultra Classic 2000 tank emblem looks nice.

the painter that turned me on to this says he has been using it for years.

I'm planning on taking mine off too. I always use the blow drier to remove the fork and rear fender reflectors. Hope that will work on the tank also.

Well, it took all of one minute to heat up the emblems and pull them off. Unfortunately, the rubber is still there in black script. Unlike the fender and slider reflectors, the rubber is thicker and not as dense and now I'm picking it off a small piece at a time. On the fender and sliders, the whole thing came off rubber and all. Once I get most of it off, I'll try and remove the rest with 'OOOPS multi purpose remover. Worked okay on different fenders with no negative effect on the paint. Hopefully, it will do the same on the tank.
