update - swapping harley slip-ons with screamin eagle II's?

RE: update - swapping harley slip-ons with screamin eagle II's?
ok, yesterday I installed a used set of SE II slipons that I bought off ebay. Definitely sounds much better. Deeper, louder, and it sounds like a Harley now!
But now it doesn't seem as responsive and torquey. The lack of back pressure has changed the feel. I don't feel that snap when i throttle it. Do I need another remap? Or should I install the race tuner?
I may ride over the weekend and see if I get used to it. Overall it still runs fine - nice and smooth, and still "fast enough".

In order to take full advantage of the SE-II's (or any high performance exhauset's) ability to move more exhaust out of your engine, you need the less restrictive air cleaner. More air in, more air out, otherwise the new exhaust is not operating to it's full potential, which means less fun factor. SE air cleaner, Arlen Ness Big Sucker, whatever, anything is better than the stock unit.
Good Luck with the upgrade, big smile factor increase also.

OK, just got the Stage 1 Kit done at the local Harley dealer, still with stock pipes on an '05 FLSTCI. Now looking for a set of slip-ons to give it attitude, but not wake the babies next door when I sneak out to work at dark:30 am. Looking for advice, and oh, yeah, I live in the communist state of CA where Screamin Eagles don't soar legally anymore...
Vettes and Harleys, if you gotta ask, you don't get it.

'05 FLSTCI Black Cherry over Black

Be sure to get the SE II's that have a removable baffle. Then get you a set of Big City Thunder baffles and you will have the sound and performance you are looking for. I had the HD aftermarket mufflers. They worked okay, but the bike sound like a moped going down the road. Annoyed the crap out of me. I found a set on this site with the baffles and a PCIII usb. Best $300 bucks I have spent.
