Default Quietest aftermarket exhaust.

Like the title says, what is the quietest after market exhaust I can get?

'01 FXDL TC88

Long story short, I am in Japan. Bought the bike used with TH on it. No stock exhaust available for a decent price (or anyone stateside willing to ship me one). Need inspection in October to keep it registered. Wont pass with TH on it because it's too loud.

So what's my best option?

OR: does anyone know how quiet a Basani RR gets with a quiet baffle installed?

the supertrapp is what I have, it has a bit more sound than stock but should easily pass sound inspections.

Supertrapp is probably the best option. You might be able to find the later model Screamin Eagle slipons, they are louder than stock, but not by much.

+1 on Screamin Eagle exhaust system. They have a deep throaty sound.

I had screaming eagle slip ons on my old sportster, they are mad loud compared to stock. 08 sportster. They were actually louder than v&h 2-1 comp which I later used.

I'd maybe pull the TH baffle out, measure its inner diameter and order the appropriately sized thunder torque insert then reinstall the modified baffle.
after inspection either turn insert sideways, or uninstall it until the next inspection.

Spend the money saved not buying a whole new exhaust on something else.

Japan is significant;y more strict than just installing a slightly different baffle in the TH. I actually bit the bullet and spent waaaaay more than I wanted on a stock set up today. Complete with cat. laden muffler. Can't wait to hear how quiet this thing is when I put it on haha.
