Derby cover rant.....

RE: Derby cover rant.....
Well, ya gotta admit that there are a lot of parts out there and a lot more models than there used to be in the "old days". I would have a hard time trying to remember every part that fit on every model of bike. Cut them a little slack, anyway, for at least being able to look the parts up.

i changed out the derby cover off of my 05 deuce(my avatar pic) and tried to put it on my 07 ultra, just like you the 07 uses the o-ring and the 05 uses the frisbee. So i go to the dealer to get another frisbee. I asked for the derby gasket for an 05 deuce, i wasnt even going to get into a BS session with the parts guy on what i was doing, why waste my time. needless to say, took it home put it on the ultra, bone dry. the end

You could've gotten the part number for the gasket right off the Moco website. It's in the notes when you search for a derby cover for `06-up Dynas.

LOL.... I could'nt find a Harley stealer or Cutom Chrome that would sell me a single spoke to replace a broken one I found on my rear wheel. Had to buy the whole set[:@]!
So..... I got a $75 spoke, and 39 spares. Wonder how many others have 39 spare spokes kicking around. Why cant they just buy a couple sets of each wheel size and sell them individually for say $5 apiece. They would make money, and we would'nt have to buy a bunch of spare parts we may never need!
Cheers... Ben.
