Street Bob Seat Question
I am about to purchase an 07 Street Bob.
I do know that I want to replace the seat on it and I need a 2 up capability for my wife to ride with me from time to time.
I will mainly be doing intown driving of a 20 mile commute one way 2 or 3 days a week.
I may go out for a longer ride on weekends, maybe in the neighborhood of 100 miles.
On a few occassions a year, I may do a 200 - 300 trek to the beach or mountains.
Question, what seat/seat combination would be best for this type of riding?
Should I keep the stock 1 up and add a passenger pillion and backrest?
Or, should I purchase a single 2 up seat, maybe the sundowner deep bucket 2 up and add a backrest?
Thanks,
jimd4au

RE: Street Bob Seat Question
Ah, the good old seat saga.
You can spend a fortune on seats trying to find what suits you.
Try the original 1st. If you are only doing occational 2 up, the pillion seat option maybe the best if you like the standard rider seat.
You can fit a detatchable back rest, so it can be taken off if only riding solo.
I have the Sundowner, and I like it a lot better than the standard
Superglide Custom seat. I dont ride 2 up, but wanted somewhere to put a bag when tripping.
I also have the detatchable sissy bar.
Money can run away on a Harley.

RE: Street Bob Seat Question
for that short of rides the stock was perfect for me it was only after an 1 1/2 hours that it started hurtin my back......your passenger will not like the pillon!!!! it hurts when I just sat on it for couple minutes parked....I dont know how my wife made it 3 hours...but she almost to tears at that point....she loves the sundowner....it also fits better on my bob than the pillon did
Get the sundowner with detach sissy.....apply the bumper kit to the sundowner so you can ride solo and the fender still looks good.....
