I have a 17 FXDL, bags, fairing and forwards with full boards. Great around town and long haul.

Great posts, thanks I've been on the fence about a Dyna for some time now. My concern is getting in and out of my storage building. I have a small 12x16 shop that is pretty full with my Sportster 48, tools and bicycles. I dont have a ramp but ride the Sportster up onto 3-4 inch deck in front of my shop, then another 3-4" step up into the shop. Same thing when coming out.
I back the bike down those steps. I have no issues doing this and am 6' tall with a 33 " inseam so I just straddle the bike and walk it out. But I wonder if I can do this reliability with a larger and heavier bike. That and the physical size of a Dyna would take up more space in my crowded shop. I'm still thinking about it.

Having owned a Sporty, a Softtail and currently a Dyna, I like the Dyna the best. Sporty, while nimble, is under powered unless you get into the engine and mod it, the Softtail just wasn't for me. I did not like the handling. The Dyna checks all the boxes for me and with a few mods, makes a great tourer.

Nice bike but I'm more interested in that 69 Camaro in the garage.
