Being furloughed from work has really got me bored as ****. Can’t buy parts so just tweeking dumb stuff in the meanwhile. I hate Torx head hardware so went to ACE and raided the chrome bolt bins. Allen head cap screws for the trees and some 12pt for the riser top clamp. Why? Boredom. Does it matter? Only to me. Will anyone care? Doubtful.

Small details still make a difference!

Switched from 8” straight biltwell risers to now 10” pullbacks and that’s exactly what I needed. Ergonomics are so much better now, no more leaning forward. Am I 100% set on this bar/riser setup? Not yet. Gonna put at least 500mi on to decide for sure but it felt way better on my commute this morning. Wiring and cables are wack and need attention but I’ll run em internally once I commit to a setup. Fairing hides all that crap anyways so once it’s back from the painter I’ll post a better pic.

Last couple pieces to the puzzle. Got the fairing striped finally and switched from 8” straight risers to 10” pullbacks. Best mod I’ve made thus far. Perfect ergonomics for me and makes riding so much better. Cosmetically bike is done for now. Need some Leather Pro bags next amd maaayyyybe an air filter change. Not 100% on that yet. Next winter it’s more detail with more chrome, powder and more power.

Hey Shift... Not sure if I asked this before? But going to the 2 into 1 were you able to feel the difference?
I did with torque inserts in V&H straight shots..
Still thinking about pulling the trigger on a set of 2 into 1 pipes..

Night and day difference from the stockers to the Thunderheader. That being said, there’s better pipes out there, I mean just about any other 2-1 outclasses a t-header but not a single one of em out looks or out sounds it lol.

Nothing sounds like a Thunderheader ... that can be good or bad, depending on your perspective

The bike turned out great.
I'm about to go down the bar/riser rabbit hole I'm afraid. Last fall I put a mustang fastback on my fat bob and it moved me back and down some, now I have to lean forward and anything over 100 miles has me hurting. The bike came with 6" pull backs with the stock drag bar. I'm hoping some 3" riser extensions will fix it for me.

on every bike I’ve had from Sporty’s to fxr’s to Dynas I’ve ran anywhere from an 8” to 10” risers and either stock Sportster bars or these high trackers from Biltwell. I like sitting upright and having a little bend in my elbow and this setup nailed it for me. But yeah, a lot has to do with your seat, if you have Mids or forwards, length or your torso and limbs and really just what look you’re going for. A lot of trial and error for me but I’ve finally found a setup I love.
