Why are you asking me? I just told the OP how to separate the start relay function from the TSM/TSSM.

The OP explained the reason in his original post.

 

A TSM probably shouldn't, but a TSSM would need some power to keep the security system active.

 

I was mistaking myself between a battery tender and a tender battery..... ( love me tender, battery )

Seriously now, my TSM is in fact a TSSM. I had removed the siren last year. I build guitar tube amplifiers and when the switch is flipped off, there is no current , 0mA passing through the circuit. I cant understand the current path of my motorcycle if the key is at "off". Anyway, without the TSSM, only .09mA is drawn from the battery so it s not a big deal thpugh I dont understand why.

A TSSM is a Turn Signal/Security Module, it uses a small amount of power when the iginition switch is off to power the security system.

A security system that turned off when ignition was turned off wouldn`t make sense.

Now that we know you have a TSSM, keep in mind that module not only controls the ground circuit for the start relay, it also controls power to the ignition, by sending an enable signal to the ignition module...

The ECM won't give you any spark or fuel if the TSSM is missing or is there but hasn't authenticated with a fob or by the code.

So I ll have to go to the dealer to get the new TSSM installed? There has to be a way for me to do it in my garage. You think my bike has got a ECM even if carbed ?

 

Why don't you just put the old one back? I don't think 25ma is excessive. Also, it may "go to sleep" after a few minutes and drop a lot lower.
