Repair Manuals, Which One???
Unfortunately when I bought my used FXD it did not come with an owner's manual. I am new to the bike world and even newer to the Harley World and was wondering after looking around on the internet if the Clymer or the Haynes manual were better, or should I just shell out the extra money and purchase a HD Factory manual for learning about the bike and being able to do some repairs and maintentance myself.

RE: Repair Manuals, Which One???
I bought a new 05 FXDWG several weeks ago. One of my first purchases after the bike was a HD Manual. It was ~$55, and while not cheap, I consider it good insurance. The main reason is that I do my own maintenance, and if I ever have a warranty issue, I want to be able to show the service department all my receipts for general maintenance items (oil, filters, etc) AND a repair manual to do my best to ensure the warranty isn't voided. I realize this is probably not an issue for you, but still, the factory manual is probably best for doing your own work.
Best of luck to you.
Best of luck to you.

RE: Repair Manuals, Which One???
Highly recommend the factory service manual and the parts manual, purchased both for my Superglide shortly after getting the bike. Cost was not even an issue. You'll save the cost of the manuals 3x over with the first maintenance, repair or upgrade you do yourself. You'll ge the satisfaction of getting to know your way aroune your bike, while saving a lot of cash. You might also want to consider the electrical service manual also.
