Upgrading from 12 mini apes to 14 regular apes
Hey all, new to the forum. Just had a quick question for anyone who might know. Im currently running the Roland Sands 12 Black Ops mini apes on my 2008 Street Bob. When I bought the bike, thats what they came with. I recently purchased some 14 regular apes and Im wondering if I will need to swap out cabling for adding the extra 2. Any help would be much appreciated!

Any idea if cables were changed for the 12s?
14s generally can be hit and miss depending on brands. For the life of me and my indy harley mechanic, we couldn't get the stock cables to work the brake side. ABS version here. Wild1 Chub bars 14". I went with +4 , worth it , plenty of slack now and full turns are no problem from the cables being too tight without slack. Upgraded to steel braided.
You wont fully know until you do the install.

Im not sure if the cables were new honestly. Im the third owner of the bike and the first is who put them on. Im going to try installing next week and let you know. It seems like they have plenty of play at least in the pictures. Ill check more once Im home from work. Thanks!
