I have an ‘06 Dyna Wide Glide that I’m replacing the tires on for the first time. How do I tell if my tires are tubeless or tubes? I found a set I like that I wanna buy, but I need to be sure of this first.
Most tires these days are tubeless. Spoked rims still require tubes, but it is common to use tubeless tires anyhow. (You don't really have much choice...) Spoked rims also require rim strips. You should replace the tube and rim strip at the same time as the tire.
i've ran 60 spoke wheels for about 15 years. I've had spokes changed on both wheels and I've always ran tubless tires WITHOUT TUBES! How can the experts in this forum be so ignorant?
We're not. Some of us have been around for a very long time.
Until recently, all spoked rims required tubes. I guess I should have said "Most spoked rims still require tubes." Regardless, if the rim doesn't say "tubeless" you're playing with fire if you don't either put tubes in or modify the rims by sealing them. If you don't, you're showing your ignorance.

Damn dude! Nice first post. Take a chill pill, and monitor the forum for a while to get a sense of the dynamics.

Really? ... How can the experts in this forum be so ignorant? ... Excellent response for your first posting ... Step back a minute, take a deep breath and rear the rules ... It's an excellent place to start, then make a posting in the "New Members Area" ... BTW, welcome to the Forum :>)
