Will these fit in my 97 wide glide stock headlight bucket

 

Not sure what newer lights you mean but if you have the stock bucket like you say, then yes, they should fit physically.

05 and newer reflector headlight fit's perfectly in my Wife's 04 XLH 1200 Custom. I replaced the sealed beam bulb on my 77 XLH 1000 with the 04 headlight, so now the 77 has an H-4 much brighter headlight. WIN, WIN!

 

Get the Daymaker LED headlight. It fits and lights up the road very well for my 97 WG.
