Default Converting Low Rider Rear Fender to Fat Bob/Wide Glide Fender

So I've got a Fat Bob rear fender that I've made an inch narrower and shorter by about 3 inches. I'm going to fabricate some sort of rear light bracket inside the fender but have a wiring question. I see on my original fender that the wiring harness is mounted to the inside of the rear light housing...... I assume that it's the same for what would be the Fat Bob/Wide Glide so I'm going to need an original type housing if I want the wires to mount the same? Does anyone have a pic of inside the rear light of the Fat Bob and the Wide Glide? Due to the fact that I've made the fender narrower the factory tail light won't fit without some major modifications and that's why I'm looking at the Wide Glides as well (it's only 7" compared to 8")... here's some pics of what I have so far.

More pics.... couldn't get them all to load under one thread... don't know why but it won't let me load all of them....probably too big.

No, I think there have been issues here with loading pics to the site. I finally stopped trying. Looks good!, Of course I'm biased, I have a fat bob.

On my 03 WG, the turn signals go into tail light housing, and wiring harness runs on middle right side of fender in a foam channel.

Thanks guys....I've been all over the internet to find a way without cutting and splicing every wire but coming up empty. I'm going to figure a way to mount the original junction block behind the light and use that.

If you are not dead set on using the taillight housing, you can wire up LED strip to sit flush with fender. What I did with mine. Didnt like the taillight and license bracket so I flush mounted mine.

That looks great but I have a solo bag on the left and I'm looking for a bit more light. This is the plan so far in cardboard. I'll transfer it to steel and make it removable with brackets. I'm going to use an aftermarket LED light for the tail/brake light and keep the directional's.
