Default Pros and cons of putting wide glide front end on 04 low rider

I have an 04 low rider with the narrow glide front end. I really like the wife glide front end and the rake in it. Has anyone done this and what are your pros and cons?
I've seen a couple of wide glide front ends for sale with 3 degree rake and 2 over and 4 over. I think stock wg is 3 degree rake in trees and 2 over. Thanks for any feedback.

Honest and unpopular meaning from me: why would you destroy your dyna? Swap it to a wg then.

Note: I don’t think wg is a dyna.

Isn't the only difference between the 2 the front end?

Yeah, a very big difference in my eye. If you want a wg front, then it’s better to swap the bike rather then to turn your bike into one.

The WG is, in fact, a Dyna. The main difference is (2 degrees?) there is slightly more rake in the WG frame.
The advantage is greater high speed stability at the cost of losing some low speed handling.
If YOU like the look and want to do it, than do it. Who cares what other people's opinion of your bike is?
Grab a set of WG trees and spacers off of Ebay and see how it looks and handles with your stock tubes. If you like it, then get the 2 over fork tubes. If not, then you're just out the price of the trees and spacers. You certainly are not going to "destroy" it.

Btw, the OP's FXDL Low Rider is a 2004 ... uses the same Frame as the WG ... 32° ... (opposed to the 2006-later frames)

.

Do what Joe said, grab the trees and mock it up, if you like it then add the longer tubes....

my self personnaly i like the wideglide look, never was a fan of mid or narrow glide front ends, was the first mod I did to my dyna’s as soon as I could, was change the front end to wide trees...
