99-05 DWGs were 41mm. Everything from 06-up is 49mm
I think I remember going back and forth with Multi about the DF fork lengths a couple years ago and don't think we came up with an answer back then. I haven't researched it since. Tall Timber may know. He's probably got the most DF wrench time of anybody here.

Yes ... very familiar
Also as chris mentioned above, but doesn't get talked about much in changing Trail is the Trees Fork Tubes-to-Steering Stem "Offset" because it's hard to find "Values" without having a SET. But Reindeer's Thread HERE is showing the OFFSET difference between the 0° (No rake) 49mm FXDC Mid-glide Trees and the FXDL approx 1.5° Trees. Hard to see in the Lower Tree Pic, but in BOTH, the Tubes are closer to the Stem. So even when the FXDL INCREASED Tree Rake and DECREASED Trail, it also Reduced the "OFFSET" which then INCREASED Trail from what it would have been. So the "Final Numbers" aren't as significant as you might have thought.
So using his 2009 FXDC as an example ...
Rake (steering head) 29°
Fork Angle 29°
Trail 4.70 in.
Wheelbase 64.20 in.
2009 FXDL ... (because of simultaneous OFFSET reduction, only .20 Trail reduction and only .40 WB increase)
Rake (steering head) 29°
Fork Angle 30.5°
Trail 4.50 in.
Wheelbase 64.60 in.
(REF: 2009 FXDC HERE ... 2009 FXDL HERE)

I believe the FXDF Tubes are 25.5" length (No confirmation yet) which is the same length as the Mid-glide Dynas although NOT the Same Tube. I've been in contact with Tall Timber recently in anticipation of getting some good values of various parts depending on how far he breaks them down (Race Tech Parts are coming ).
Sorry Chief (hey, that's fits )
In reference to the 05-earlier models ... Throw away whatever you used for that information.
There's several resources where you can find the correct info. Here's one ... 2004 FXDL and 2004 FXDWG ... 32°
If / When the OP ever removes his tank, he'll see the Neck Rake Value as part of the Neck Casting. Shown below is from a 1996 FXDL Low Rider (same as WG)

Always a pleasure to read your posts, Mike. Thanks for the correction and illumination regarding offset difference among Dyna trees. I wrongly assumed they were all (nearly) the same! I know, I know...never assume...
Just to add a bit more evidence, since it was handy...a photo of my neck. Original 99 FXDWG.

'02 FXD with '02 FLST legs in '01 FXST trees. I like the look & stance of the extra bit of rake in the trees & love the way it rides & handles. Can be done with 100% factory parts, retaining factory neck lock function & with the right parts selection, an entirely bolt-on affair. FWIW, I think the Low Riders with Wide Glide front ends look killer with a 130-16 front.

My 04 dyna low rider has a 32 degree rake in frame. Stamped in frame on right side. Only difference Ben low rider and wide glide for 04-05 was the front end.
so with the frames being the same, i could get wide glide trees with built in rake, but wouldn't i need the thicker tubes and lower legs as well? Don't think narrow glide tubes will stay in the wide glide trees right?
