I believe the rake in the trees is in the bottom tree only but not sure.
Older wide glides were 32 degrees in the neck-2 in the trees. 06 and up are 34 in the neck - 2 in the trees.

are you mistakenly thinking that the wide glide is not part of the dyna family ? Or that the wide glide is not worthy of the great dyna title???

Raked trees are matched set. Upper and lower are both raked.

Increased tree rake will decrease trail. 2 degrees isn't much but it's enough to notice. There are many online rake & trail calculators to help inform your choices. Harley cruisers are generally around 4-5" trail, I believe. Plenty of online data sources you can use for reference to other known bikes.

Fork length, chassis attitude (fore/aft lean), neck rake, tree offset, and tire diameter also factor in.

The WG handling character is partly in the rake/trail and partly in the narrow front tire. I'm not a huge fan of the narrow tire where handling is concerned but it does have a look.

Let me ask you guys this,if a stock newer wide glide has 2 degrees of rake in the trees and that sets the trail at 5.1, what would the trail figure be with fat bob trees?

According to the RB Racing calculator, with no other changes, it would end up very close to 7"

thank you cggorman, I have been considering this mod but I don’t think it would be wise. Thanks again!
