New member - Opinions on chrome or black ape bars
Hey all. I am new to the Harley word and have been frequenting this site. Love all the opinions. Was hoping you guys can help me out here. I have a 2000 dyna fxd. I want to get black ape bars but I don’t want it to look out of place with all the chrome I have on. What changes should I make to match the black bars or do I just get get the black bars and leave it ??? Pics posted below.

Lile so many things, This all personal preference so it really comes down to what YOU like.
That said, I tend to like when the bars, risers, trees, and sliders all match. Of course, My own bike doesn't fit that description. LOL!
I have gloss black sliders and trees with Chrome riserless bars. Had planned on having my bars done in gloss black but when I put them on I liked it enough to leave it. Still like it. Shrug.
Not a good view of them in this pic, but it what I have right now...

agreed it looks terrible. It has black plastidip around it and I peeled it. Apparently that’s a stock dash. The sleeve has been cut. I’m looking to get another black or chrome one. Not sure yet
