Default Brand New Regulator Blowing Fuel out Bypass

Hello All,

I have a previous thread where I was having fuel pressure issues, where the bike was dying at idle. It looked like the fuel filter was the issue, so I replaced it. While I had the guts of the tank out - I replaced everything in the tank - Fuel Pump, Fuel Filter, Fuel Regulator, and all internal fuel lines. I received everything from JP Cycle, all spec'd to fit an '05 fuel injected Dyna Superglide (K&N Aircharger intake and Dynojet PV-1 tuner are the only mods).

When the pump primes, and when the bike is running, fuel is shooting out of a hole at the bottom of the regulator housing. I know it's tough to see, but here's a video:

Here's an image of the hole on the bottom of the regulator housing:

I threw the bike back together, and rode it a bit. You can hear the fuel spraying inside the tank while riding, and it's a bit sluggish. Any Ideas where the heck I start to fix this?

Looks normal at idle. Excessive IDLE fuel pressure is being dumped out. EFI works under pressure.and the regulator relieves excess pressure.

Glad this is normal! Best news I could have received.

This is my first experience with an FI bike - and was under the impression that any agitation in the tank is bad. Thanks all!

Ever figure this out? I got the same problem. Pulled my pump out and everything hoping to find a bad fuel line
