Hi MagsnAl, see your bob has the v&h pipes,v&h fuel pack & k&n,how does the bike run now compared to stock, did you fit it yourself any aggro? I,m on this side of the pond and fancy a similar set up on my 07bob.Think i,m right in saying the British spec 07 bobs are slightly different than the USA spec. Any advice most welcome. Stay cool.

I used to get about 40 mpg in town and 46 mpg on longer trips. I just put on the V&H slip-ons, SE air cleaner, and Fuelpak and now I get about 50 mpg on longer trips. Have checked the town mileage yet.

I'm lucky to get 40 MPG. V&H shortshots, big sucker, fuel pak. I'm heavy on the throttle though.

So, why on Earth do our figures differ so greatly - between 35 and 58 mpg, even on similar specc'd bikes. Wow!

Surely it's not only down to the (small) difference in size between the US gallon and the Imperial one?
My throttle has two settings ... max power or off ... that's why I get the low end of the mpg range !

Hi Cornishman

Sorry, don't know how the Bob was / would be stock. This is my first bike and I knew how I wanted it.I negotiated thestage 1 as described to be delivered right from the shop.

However this set up (with my very limited experience) is so very cool. She pops a bit on decel, but otherwise goes like stink. Had first 1000 mile service today (at 1600 miles - ooooops!) and even the mech was well impressed. He sad it was "well quick" and had a big grin on his face which I was a little jealous of -I think I've only used about 50% throttle at the most..... Chick chick chicken......

Oh, and the sound..... I heard her running in the shop today - there was no mistaking it was my bike. Gave me goose bumps...

Mine sucks. I have Ness h/f a/f and Python pipes. I get 37 at times and 1st third of curve sucks. I have no power. The bike screams to do 90 but lugs a passenger on the low end gears. They have given me 2 additional maps and they suck. Was in Johnstown last week and the Dyno trailer laffed and wouldn't touch it??? I use to get mid 40's and close to 50 on highway. The faster I go, the better the mileage. I ren the bike all stock except for the pipes. Burps, grunts and backfires more now then before. DO YOUR RESEARCH!!!

I would like to see if I can get some response as too what pipes configuration along with the Big air kit and what program you were told to tune in on the Fuelpak. My pipes are custom and high flow with no baffles and wanted to get some ideas. I was told to returnthe one I orderedbut it just came in and I am curious to seeif it will work on my pipe set up. Also some of the reviews seem to be pretty good with fuel economy and I seem to average 40 mpg stock. There are plenty of people out there that take their baffles out for more sound and I have a hard time believing that the program would be thrown off that far.

Any ideas????
Thanks,
Joel
