Default Leather pros 3100

I have the leather pros 3100 saddle bags with the strap that runs over the top of the bag on my Fat Bob. Was wondering if anyone runs with a roll bag on top of your saddle bags and if so what roll bag are you using and does it stay secure just with the saddle bag top straps tightened down. Thanks

No idea about brands, but yes, it does work. Last year I went on a long weekend trip, and my passenger wasn't quite the "light packer" that I am. She brought a pair of "Dry Bags" that we strapped to the top of my 3100s, with the supplied straps. They were very secure. They also stayed completely dry inside, despite about three hours through very heavy rain...

I don't think I would keep a roll bag there when not needed, as it makes it a little more cumbersome to get into the bag. I much prefer the look of the Leather Pros T-Sport bags and constantly think about a change, but the 3100s really work well from a practicality standpoint, and I only use them when travelling (or grocery shopping).

Thanks for the reply and the pictures. I have dry bags so at least I know that will work.

I normally put my chaps on top of the bag and use those straps to hold them down when I am not wearing them. Works well.
