I found out how to get into diags. I'm getting code for the LCM, PCM and Speedo.
LCM codes = U0001, U0140, U0141, U0142, U0156,
PCM code = b2206
Speedo code = U0140, U0156

I cleared the LCM and Speedo codes, The PCM won't clear.
Any ideas?

Aren’t you the guy that started cutting into and adding components into your Harley with canbus?

I slept on it. Gave it another look this morning. think I nailed the issue. I was able to clear all the codes except the PCM. Root cause was PCM, b2206. I had to loosen the housing around the off/run switch and jiggle it a bit. Then I got the code to clear. When I secured the screws the b2206 code came back. Loosened the screw, the code cleared. I secured one screw at a time and check for codes. Top screw first, no code. Then the bottom screw, no code. I'm going to burn up a tank of gas today and see how things go.

Awesome, glad you found the source. I guess if it starts up again you'll know what to replace.

It came back about an hour into a ride. CEL and Security light. When I got home I checked the codes and they were the same. I pulled off the license plate bracket where I relocated the tail lights and removed paint to bare steal. Reassemble. So far so good.

Default Wack-O-Mole

The past few days I've been playing Wack-O-more with the wire fault indicator. The red light on the speedometer come on indicating a wire fault for no reason. Bike is parked. Then the CEL. DIGS show me CAN BUS ECM, BCM, SPEEDO show U0001, U0100, U0140, U0141, U0142, U0156, The BCM sometimes shows B2206. Everything is intermittent. I can go to bed with no faults and in the morning check it and the entire left side switches won't function. I stuck my finger inside the access hole and jiggled the wires and it stopped doing it. If I take it for a ride the lights come back and then if I hit a bump they go off. Is this typical of a DYNA? This is my first one. I wouldn't mind so much but when I get this wire fault I can't use left the turn singles, horn, high beams, or the odometer.

This has happened about 3 times in the past two days. Any suggestions what should be looked at?
Check you ignition switch and make sure it's plugged all the way in. Replace your system relay. If that doesn't fix it replace you ignition switch

I took a two hour ride after work today and not a peep out of the CAN BUS. the system ran fault free. I stopped three times for dinner and gas and I had no issues with start no idle! I should have stuck my finger in that hole a few days ago.

After breakfast this morning I check the bike. Hit the trip meter and nothing displayed. Turned on the main switch to IGN and the window popped on with VINERR. Turned the main switch to off and giggled the cable with the green tape and now the trip meter works and in IGN there's no more VINERR. Went into DIAGS and the ECM, BCM and SPEDO had the same CAN BUS codes and before. I don't understand how a stationary bike can just go into this state just by sitting there overnight.
